What are you securing?

Not another AI that writes contracts

Dharaa doesn’t write your agreement. It assembles it.

A chatbot improvises legal language and hopes it holds up. Dharaa’s AI picks the right clauses from a lawyer-verified repository, fills in your facts, and validates the result — so what you sign is built from proven language, not generated prose.

1 · You describe the deal

2 · AI selects from the lawyer-verified clause repository

A chatbot writing from scratch

  • Generates legal-sounding text word by word, on the fly

  • Can invent clauses, citations, and “requirements” that don’t exist

  • Different wording every time you ask the same question

  • Nothing checks the finished document before you sign it

Dharaa assembling verified clauses

  • Every clause comes from Dharaa’s repository — drafted and verified by lawyers, maintained for Indian law

  • AI only decides which clauses fit your situation and fills in your facts — names, amounts, dates, cities

  • The assembled agreement is validated: mandatory clauses, incomplete fields, stamp duty, Registration Act, Section 27 non-competes

  • The same proven language every time — consistent, compliant, enforceable

That’s also why Dharaa works inside ChatGPT and Claude: the assistant handles the conversation, Dharaa supplies the verified clauses and the checks. See how the connector works

Agreement

Lease / Rental Agreement

A landlord-and-tenant agreement for residential or commercial premises: the rent and when it is due, the security deposit, the term and any lock-in, escalation, who repairs what, and how either side ends it. The eleven months most of these run for is a registration convention rather than a rule — s. 17 of the Registration Act makes any lease exceeding one year compulsorily registrable, and an unregistered one cannot be proved for its terms. State Rent Control Acts apply on top. Creates a tenancy — an interest in the property in the tenant's favour under the Transfer of Property Act. For bare permission to occupy WITHOUT creating a tenancy — the leave-and-licence arrangement standard in Maharashtra — use the Leave and Licence Agreement instead.

Agreement

Creator Collaboration Agreement

A brand-and-creator agreement for sponsored content: the deliverables and the dates, the fee or the barter, approvals, and exclusivity. Usage rights are the commercial heart of it — paying for a post does not buy the content outright, and running it as a paid advertisement from the creator's own handle (whitelisting, Spark Ads) is a separate grant from the right to post it organically. ASCI disclosure is triggered by a material connection, gifted product included, whether or not money changes hands.

Agreement

Non-Disclosure Agreement

A promise to keep information confidential — mutual, where both sides disclose, or one-way where only one does. It sets out what counts as confidential, how long the duty survives the agreement, and what must be returned or destroyed at the end. Note that the exclusions are wide: marking something confidential does not make it so, and nothing here reaches what is already public, what the recipient worked out independently, or what a court compels them to disclose.

Agreement

Service Agreement

An agreement for a freelancer, consultant or agency to do work for a client: the scope, the fee and how it is billed, the timeline, and who owns what is produced. The assignment clause is the load-bearing one — a contractor is not an employee, so they remain the first owner of what they create, and copyright reaches the client only through a written assignment naming the rights, the term and the territory (s. 19, Copyright Act 1957). Routing the borderline cases: an event vendor — photographer, caterer, decorator, planner — hired for a wedding or function is this agreement (Event Services preset); but where the deliverables are sponsored posts or content published on the provider's own channels for a brand, that is a brand collaboration — use the Creator Collaboration Agreement. Where the person works under the hirer's direction and control on a salary — fixed hours, exclusive service, employer-style supervision — that is employment, not a services engagement: use the Employment Agreement (a paid intern under supervision belongs there too, on its Internship preset).

Agreement

Employment Agreement

The full bilateral employment contract between an Employer and Employee: compensation and its structure, duties, working hours, leave, statutory benefits, confidentiality, IP, restraints where lawful, and termination. The right instrument when terms are negotiated and the relationship needs a complete contract — from a household hiring domestic staff to a senior executive hire. For the short statutory letter the Code on Wages requires for every worker, use the Appointment Letter; for a pre-joining offer, the Offer Letter. Routing the borderline cases: a paid intern working under the establishment's direction and control — set hours, assigned work, supervision — is employment on the Internship preset; a trainee hired on a regular salary with ordinary duties is the Fixed-Term Employment Contract; a freelancer delivering defined work products without supervision is not employment — use the Service Agreement. A purely academic or unpaid placement without employer-style control may not create an employment relationship at all. Governed by the Indian Contract Act, 1872, applicable Shops & Establishments Acts, and the Labour Codes.

Agreement

Offer Letter

An offer of employment made to a candidate, setting out the role, the compensation, anything the offer depends on, and how long it stands. Conditional and provisional: the appointment letter that follows acceptance is what records the agreed terms, and is the document the Code on Wages requires.

Notice

Cheque Dishonour Notice

The notice a payee must give under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act 1881 when a cheque is returned unpaid. It identifies the cheque, states the debt it was given for, records the dishonour, and demands payment within fifteen days of receipt. Unlike an ordinary demand it is a precondition to prosecution: without it, in this form and inside the statutory window, no offence under s. 138 is made out. Its policy-side twin is the Loan Agreement: an obligation documented with a repayment schedule and traceable payments does not need a cheque as its only security, and the next lending moment deserves the agreement before the cheque.

Draft it free
Notice

Demand for Payment

A written demand for a sum said to be owed — for goods supplied, services rendered, money lent, rent, or an unpaid invoice. It states how the money came to be owed, what is claimed, and by when the sender wants it. A private communication between the sender and the recipient: no statute requires it, prescribes its form, or fixes a period for it. Its policy-side twin is the Loan Agreement: where the demand is for money lent informally, a two-page loan agreement — or, while limitation still runs, a signed acknowledgment of the existing debt — is what makes the next loan recoverable without a notice like this one.

Draft it free
Declaration

Name Change Declaration

A sworn declaration about the deponent's name: either that a former name has been changed to a new one, or that two differently-spelt entries in the records denote one and the same person and no change ever occurred. Required by banks, passport offices, schools and employers before they will amend or reconcile their records, and never made to evade any liability.

Draft it free
Notice

Notice to Quit

A landlord's notice determining a tenancy and calling on the tenant to deliver up possession. Where the tenancy is month to month and there is no written notice clause, s. 106 of the Transfer of Property Act fixes fifteen days running from receipt. Note that State Rent Control Acts override s. 106 wherever they conflict, and most prescribe their own grounds, periods and forum — a tenancy inside a Rent Act is usually not determinable by a bare notice at all.

Draft it free
Agreement

Appointment Letter

The written appointment letter the Code on Wages requires an employer to give every worker — permanent, fixed-term, contract or gig. It states the role and how the engagement is classified, the wages and how they are made up, the working hours, the leave, and the notice period either side must give. Shorter and more widely used than a full employment agreement, which is a negotiated contract for a senior hire.

Draft it free
Agreement

Flatmate Agreement

Records how the people sharing a flat stand between themselves: who the flatmates are and which head tenancy they live under (referenced, never modified), the deposit split and the formula for returning a leaver's share, rent and bills apportionment with a named cut-off at move-out, the internal exit notice and the consent a replacement needs, optional house rules, and an express statement that nothing in it creates a sublease or licence or varies the head tenancy — the landlord's rights are untouched. The parties are co-occupant and co-occupant: for the owner-and-occupant paper itself — the agreement the landlord signs — use the Rental / Lease Agreement (its room-rental-pg preset) or the Leave and Licence Agreement (its pg-co-living preset); this Agreement sits beneath that paper and governs the occupants between themselves.

Draft it free
Agreement

Leave and Licence Agreement

Grants the Licensee bare permission to use and occupy premises for a period, WITHOUT creating a tenancy or any interest in the property — juridical possession stays with the Licensor (Section 52, Indian Easements Act). The standard instrument for residential flats in Maharashtra, where registration is compulsory whatever the term (Section 55, Maharashtra Rent Control Act, 1999), and commonly chosen elsewhere to keep the occupant a licensee rather than a tenant. If the arrangement is meant to create a tenancy — an interest in the property, with a lessor-lessee relationship and tenancy-law consequences — use the Lease / Rental Agreement instead.

Draft it free
Notice

Security Deposit Refund Notice

A former tenant's written demand for the return of a security deposit after vacating. It records the tenancy, what was paid and when, the handover, anything the tenant accepts may fairly be deducted, and the sum now claimed. No statute fixes a period for returning a deposit, so the time allowed is the tenant's own.

Small Works Contract

Puts a home renovation, repair or improvement job on paper between the owner and the contractor: the site and a line-item scope, milestone-linked payments where each instalment falls due only on completed work — never by date alone, the antidote to the big-advance-then-abandonment pattern — materials with named brands and substitution only by written consent, site access and working hours for an occupied home, a timeline with a grace period and then the owner's remedies, an abandonment clause letting the owner complete through others and set off the cost, a defect-liability period after handover, and statutory, safety and debris obligations with no structural change until permissions exist. Works plus materials plus a defect tail is a different promise from pure services: for services alone — design, consulting, freelancing — use the Freelance / Service Agreement; for a defective job already paid for without a contract, the Consumer Defect notice is the after-the-fact instrument.

Draft it free
Notice

Consumer Complaint Notice

A consumer's written complaint to a seller or service provider about a defect in goods or a deficiency in service, setting out the purchase, what is wrong, what has already been tried, and what the consumer wants done. Note that the Consumer Protection Act 2019 does not require a notice before a complaint to a Consumer Commission — sending one is convention, and gives the other side a chance to put things right.

Draft it free

Loan Agreement

Records a private loan between people who know each other — the policy-side twin of the Demand for Payment and Cheque Dishonour notices, aimed at the undocumented-lending failure mode. Two forms of the same instrument: a fresh loan being made (the advance recorded with its date, mode and transaction reference, so bank transfers and UPI payments read as a loan and not a gift), or money already owed being acknowledged in writing — the signed acknowledgment of a subsisting liability that earns a fresh limitation period under Section 18 of the Limitation Act 1963 — and put on a repayment schedule. Interest optional (interest-free is the default posture), lump-sum or monthly installments, optional guarantor on the same paper, and every payment through a traceable banking channel, never cash. Deliberately an agreement and never a promissory note: a promissory note is a negotiable instrument, outside electronic execution under the IT Act's First Schedule and charged under a different stamp article, while this agreement form carries the same promise and remains e-sign eligible. Not for the business of money-lending, bank or NBFC lending, or a loan secured on property. For money already in default with no paper at all, the Demand for Payment notice is the first step; this Agreement is how the next loan never needs one.

Notice

Reply to a Legal Notice

A written reply to a legal notice that has been received. It identifies the notice, takes any preliminary objections, answers each of its numbered paragraphs in turn — admitting, denying or not admitting — sets out the sender's own account where that is needed, and reserves the sender's rights. Roughly half of all legal-notice work is answering one rather than sending one.

Full & Final Settlement

The statement an employer issues on separation, itemising what is payable — final salary, notice pay, leave encashment, gratuity, reimbursements — and what is deducted, with the net amount and how it is paid. Signed by both: the employee acknowledges receipt. The optional release closes the claims this settlement covers and expressly leaves statutory entitlements untouched. Issued by the employer. Where the employer has NOT paid and the former employee is demanding salary, dues, or withheld documents, that is the employee's own notice — the Unpaid Salary and Dues Notice.

Partnership Deed

The written constitution of a general partnership under the Indian Partnership Act, 1932 — and the reason to have one is the Act itself: without a deed, partners share profits equally REGARDLESS of who contributed what capital (Section 13(b)), no partner earns interest on capital (Section 13(c)), and no partner is paid for running the business (Section 13(a)). The deed exists to replace those defaults with what the partners actually agreed: the firm's name, business and principal place; every partner's capital and profit share in one Schedule of Partners that totals its own percentages as a self-check; banking, books and the accounting year; drawings; an optional working partner's remuneration expressly authorised by the deed; what happens when a partner joins, retires, dies or becomes insolvent (the firm continues, dues settled on accounts to the date); and dissolution with the Section 48 winding-up order. Two partners are the named roles; a third or fourth joins through additional parties — preamble recital, schedule row, and signature block, no new roles needed. E-sign eligible: a partnership deed is not on the IT Act First Schedule exclusion list. The boundary matters: this creates an UNLIMITED-liability general partnership in which every partner is personally liable for the firm's debts and each partner's acts in the ordinary course bind the others. It is not an LLP (Limited Liability Partnership Act 2008) and not a company founders' or shareholders' agreement — the catalogue has no type for those yet, and this deed must not be dressed up as one. Someone who works in the business for pay without sharing profits and losses as an owner is staff, not a partner — use the Employment Agreement; an outside collaborator paid per project, with no mutual agency, is a Service Agreement engagement.

Declaration

Relieving & Experience Letter

The letter an employer issues when someone leaves: it certifies the dates and designation of the employment, confirms the employee stands relieved and that dues are settled, and — where the employer chooses — records what they were responsible for and how they conducted themselves. Issued as a combined relieving cum experience certificate, which is how these are most often given in India. Signed by the employer alone.

Show Cause Notice

The notice an employer serves to put an allegation to an employee and ask for their explanation before any decision is taken. It states what is alleged and when, names the term or policy said to have been breached, and calls for an explanation within a period the employer allows. It asks — it does not announce a finding.

Unpaid Salary and Dues Notice

An employee's written demand for unpaid salary and full-and-final dues, and for the release of employment documents. It records the employment, itemises what is owed — salary, notice pay, leave encashment, bonus, reimbursements — and names any papers the employer is holding back, such as a relieving letter, experience certificate or Form 16. Served by the employee. The employer's own statement of what it is paying out on exit — with the employee acknowledging receipt — is the Full & Final Settlement.

Declaration of Marital Status

A sworn statement of whether you are unmarried, married, divorced or widowed. Used for visas, marriage registration, pension and insurance claims, and by foreign employers. Made by one person about their own status; for a declaration by both spouses together that they are married, use the Joint Declaration of Marriage.

Gift Deed (Movable Property)

Records a completed gift of MOVABLE property — money, gold and jewellery, valuables, a cherished possession — made voluntarily, without consideration, out of natural love and affection, and accepted by the donee during the donor's lifetime (Sections 122–123, Transfer of Property Act 1882: a movable gift completes by delivery, so this deed is the evidence of a gift the law lets delivery make). Carries the identifiable schedule of what is given with approximate values, the delivery record — for money, the bank or UPI reference, the same evidence discipline as the Money shelf — the donor's ownership and solvency confirmations, and express irrevocability. The relationship field matters beyond sentiment: gifts from specified relatives sit outside Section 56(2)(x) of the Income-tax Act, while gifts from others are taxable in the donee's hands once the year's aggregate crosses the threshold — guidance the assistant gives, never a recital in the deed. IMMOVABLE property is expressly out of scope: a gift of land or a flat is valid only by registered instrument, attracts ad-valorem duty, and is excluded from e-signature — that instrument waits, and a request for it goes to counsel. Gifting a vehicle also needs the RC transferred — the Vehicle Sale Agreement's transfer choreography applies even when the price is nil. For dividing family assets among members, use the Memorandum of Family Settlement; for what happens after a death, the Legal Heir Declaration.

Guardian Consent Declaration

A parent's or both parents' formal consent concerning a minor child, in the two forms authorities actually ask for: consent to the child TRAVELLING to a named destination for a stated period accompanied by a named adult — including the immigration-desk classic where one parent consents to the child travelling with the other parent — and consent to the child staying in a named person's TEMPORARY CARE at a stated address. Carries the child's particulars (with passport number for travel), the reliance sentence for immigration, airlines, schools and hospitals, an emergency-medical authorisation, contact details for verification, and the declarations shelf's standard attestation choice (self-declared, or affirmed/sworn where the consulate or authority asks). It is a consent about a specific period and purpose, NOT a transfer of guardianship: appointing or changing a guardian is a court matter under the Guardians and Wards Act 1890, and no letter does it.

Income Declaration

A sworn statement of what you earned in a financial year and where it came from. Used for scholarships, fee concessions, EWS applications and court-fee waivers, where no Form 16 or income certificate is available.

Draft it free

Joint Declaration of Marriage

A statement by both spouses together that they are married — when, where, under what rites, and that the marriage subsists. Used for marriage registration, spouse visas, joint accounts and pension nominations. Signed by both, or sworn as a joint affidavit where the office asks for one. Made by both spouses jointly; for one person's own sworn statement of being unmarried, married, divorced or widowed, use the Declaration of Marital Status.

Draft it free

Legal Heir Declaration

The deponent's sworn or self-declared statement of who the deceased's legal heirs are: the deceased's particulars matched to the death certificate, a numbered schedule of every surviving heir with relationship, age and address, the declaration that there are no others, and optionally the specific account, policy or deposit the affidavit supports. The claims-side instrument the will prevents — banks, insurers and PF offices ask for it constantly during transmission. It is an affidavit of facts, NOT a certificate: it does not replace a legal heirship certificate from the revenue authority or a succession certificate from a court, which institutions may require for larger claims — where an institution has named one of those, this affidavit usually accompanies it rather than substitutes for it. For records that simply misname a living person, use the name-change or one-and-the-same-person declarations instead.

Draft it free

Memorandum of Family Settlement

Records a family arrangement ALREADY arrived at and acted upon — siblings or family members who divided the family's properties, funds and assets amicably and now want the division on paper so it stays settled. Drafted strictly in the memorandum posture the Supreme Court's family-arrangement doctrine protects: past tense throughout, an express recital that the arrangement was bona fide and made in recognition of each member's antecedent rights, a complete numbered schedule of who holds what, mutual acceptance and releases, and the operative sentence that the Memorandum records and evidences the arrangement without itself creating or transferring any right. Members beyond two join through additional parties, in the preamble and the signature blocks. It is NOT an instrument of partition or settlement: a document by which the family divides property FOR THE FIRST TIME, or which contains words of transfer, attracts partition or settlement stamp duty and — where immovable property is involved — compulsory registration, and should go to counsel; likewise this is not the instrument for a contested division, for giving one person's asset to another (see the Gift Deed), or for what happens after a death (see the Legal Heir Declaration, and in time the Will).
